Stop Babysitting Your Mods Folder.

ModMinder watches your Sims 4 Mods folder in the background and tells you exactly what broke — before you do.

A free desktop app for Windows and macOS. It runs quietly in your tray/menu bar, automatically checks your mods after every change, and gives you one-click quarantine when something’s actually wrong — nothing ever leaves your computer.

Free. Installation instructions — first launch shows an unsigned-app warning, that’s expected.

What ModMinder Actually Does

No cloud, no mod marketplace — just a local tool that watches your own Mods folder and helps you fix what’s actually broken.

Auto-Pilot Dashboard

Runs automatically every time your Mods folder changes, at launch, and on a schedule — no button to remember to click. If everything checks out, the dashboard just says so.

Mod Doctor Diagnostics

Finds un-extracted zips, duplicate mods, byte-identical copies, and real resource-ID conflicts between packages — by actually parsing the files, not guessing from filenames.

One-Click Fix, Not Auto-Delete

A flagged mod gets a single "Fix it" action that quarantines it after you confirm — never silently. Everything quarantined shows up in History with a one-click Restore.

"Not a Problem" Dismissals

Automated checks can misfire. Tell ModMinder a flagged mod is actually fine and it stops flagging it — reversible any time from Settings.

Manual Bisection

For the mods automated checks can’t catch: a guided, halves-the-suspect-pool workflow that finds the one mod actually causing your issue.

Runs Quietly in the Background

Closing or minimizing sends it to the tray/menu bar instead of quitting, so Auto-Pilot keeps watching. Optional launch-at-login means it’s already running when you sit down to play.

A quick note on the security warning

ModMinder isn’t code-signed yet, so your OS will warn you on first launch — this is expected for a small independent tool, not a sign anything is wrong. See exact steps for Windows and macOS.
